五、研究领域
植物生殖和单倍体诱导机理研究
人类利用的主要是植物生殖的成果——种子和果实,因此植物生殖调控机理是高效农业的重要理论基础。单倍体的产生机理是植物生殖研究的重要方向之一。单倍体诱导技术是种业的共性瓶颈问题,单倍体诱导系成功开发将革命性的变革相关作物的育种程序。团队一方面利用植物中的果蝇——拟南芥,深入研究植物生殖和单倍体诱导机理,在该模式生物中相继解决了单倍体诱导效率和单倍体诱导系育性等核心问题。另一方面,将利用模式生物中的研究发现,在重要作物特别是热带特色作物中开发单倍体诱导系,加快热带特色作物育种进程,服务热带高效农业。此外,研究过程中开发的技术体系可以高效辅助构建热带杂种作物完美基因组,促进热带作物重要农艺性状的遗传解析。
